½ tsp Vegetable Oil
1 Red Onion – finely chopped
150gms Swede – cut into small cubes
200gms Leek – cut in half, washed well and finely sliced
3 cups Water
1 tsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
2 sachets of Miso Paste – approx 38 – 40 gms
Note: Miso paste can be bought in Asian section at supermarket in a cellophane pack of 12 sachets
METHOD
- Heat oil in pot
- Add onion and sauté until soft
- Add swede, leeks and water, then soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce
- Simmer until swede is tender
- Add miso paste at the very end
- Stir to dissolve
- Serve hot
